Patna, June 28 (NationPress) Bihar's Health Minister Mangal Pandey has openly challenged RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav to a debate, urging him to provide evidence regarding the appointments made during his term as the state's Health Minister. Pandey accused Yadav of trying to take credit for recruitment initiatives that took place under the guidance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
"Any positive developments we see today can be attributed to Chief Minister Nitish, not to Tejashwi Yadav," Pandey asserted.
His statements were made at an event in Bapu Auditorium, Patna, where 21,391 individuals received appointment letters for constable positions. Pandey emphasized that just in the previous month, over 9,000 positions were filled in the Health Department, with significant hiring also ongoing in the Education, Home, and other sectors.
"The employment drive in Bihar is accelerating, which will greatly benefit our youth," Pandey mentioned.
In response to Yadav's concerns regarding the documentation needed for the voter list revision, Pandey said, "These are the same individuals who have historically opposed transparent elections. Just look at the years from 1990 to 2005, when fraudulent voters cast ballots while genuine voters refrained from voting."
He insisted that now, with the Election Commission focused on ensuring fair elections, Tejashwi's objections are dubious.
"Those who are uncomfortable with fair elections reveal their true political intentions," Pandey remarked.
As the Bihar Assembly elections draw near, Pandey's challenge may escalate the state's political climate.
Recently, Tejashwi criticized Pandey over alleged medical negligence that resulted in the death of an 11-year-old rape victim at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).
The victim tragically waited four hours in an ambulance and succumbed to her injuries following the assault, leading Tejashwi Yadav to call for Mangal Pandey's resignation.
