Patna, May 23 (NationPress) Independent MP from Bihar's Purnea, Rajesh Ranjan, who is better known as Pappu Yadav, has recently issued a subtle critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he prepares for his upcoming visit to Bihar on May 29. Without directly naming the Prime Minister, Yadav contended that national security is being exploited for political gains.
His comments were made shortly after his arrival in Patna from Delhi, igniting further debate in the politically charged environment of Bihar as the Assembly elections approach. His statements were made in light of Operation Sindoor, a military operation aimed at eliminating terror launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
The BJP has termed this operation a significant achievement in national security, making it a hot topic in the state’s political discussions.
“Now, Sindoor ka Saudagar has started coming to Bihar,” Yadav remarked.
He also expressed concerns over escalating crime rates in Bihar, claiming that criminals, along with the liquor and sand mafias, are being granted electoral tickets.
“How will crime diminish if you keep awarding tickets to the mafias?” he questioned, indirectly addressing opposition parties, including RJD.
Without explicitly naming Tejashwi Yadav, the Purnea MP accused him of double standards, highlighting that the RJD leader had allied with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for a considerable time without making any headway in reducing crime.
“First, stop granting tickets to criminals, then discuss law and order,” he stated.
In a notable political statement, Yadav asserted that only Rahul Gandhi from the Congress party has the potential to lead a substantial opposition against the BJP in Bihar.
“Rahul Gandhi represents the backward, extremely backward, Dalit, and Mahadalit communities. The Bihar elections should be contested under his leadership if the BJP is to be defeated,” he emphasized.
PM Modi's forthcoming visit to Bihar is anticipated to feature the launch of significant infrastructure projects valued in the thousands of crores, prompting political parties to intensify their narratives as the election season nears.
