Chennai, Jan 30 (NationPress) A conflict that was poised to escalate into a significant clash between the teams of two highly anticipated Tamil films -- Vijay Antony's film Sakthi Murugan and Sivakarthikeyan's film Parasakthi -- regarding the use of a title has now been amicably settled.

On Wednesday, both film teams unveiled the titles of their respective productions. Vijay Antony's film, helmed by Arun Prabhu, has been titled Sakthi Thirumugan in Tamil, while it will be known as Parasakthi in Telugu.

Subsequently, the crew of director Sudha Kongara’s forthcoming period drama, featuring actor Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, announced their film's title as Parasakthi in both Tamil and Telugu.

This led to a scenario where both films shared the same title in Telugu. Unsurprisingly, both parties asserted that they held the rights to the title in Telugu and provided documentation to substantiate their claims.

Just when the situation seemed to be escalating, both sides engaged in discussions and reached a friendly resolution.

Reports indicate that Akash Baskaran from Dawn Pictures, producing Sivakarthikeyan's film, and actor Vijay Antony have now agreed that Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th film will be titled Parasakthi in both Tamil and Telugu.

Meanwhile, Vijay Antony's 25th film will be called Sakthi Thirumagan in Tamil and Parasakthi in Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, with the Telugu title to be announced soon. Sources add that this decision was made out of mutual respect.

On Thursday, producer Akash Baskaran of Dawn Pictures shared a photograph with actor Vijay Antony, adorned with heart emojis. His production house retweeted the post, stating, “United we stand.”

Actor Vijay Antony responded with a tweet saying, “Welcome Akash” accompanied by heart and handshake emojis.

The amicable resolution of the title conflict has brought relief and joy to those in the film industry.
