Mumbai, May 13 (NationPress) The renowned Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra has voiced her thoughts on the recent drone sighting in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district, which reportedly took place shortly after the speech delivered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As reports of red streaks and explosions flooded the news, the actress utilized her social media platform to share her apprehension, joining others in expressing concern over the heightened security issues in the area. The 'Kesari' star took to her Instagram stories to post a news article detailing how red streaks were observed and explosions were heard as India's air defense system intercepted Pakistani drones during a blackout in Samba. This incident unfolded soon after the conclusion of PM Modi's first public address on May 12.
According to sources from the Army, only a small number of drones infiltrated the Samba area. The sources reassured that the situation is under control, with all drones being actively managed, emphasizing that there is no reason for alarm.
This incident came on the heels of PM Modi's recent address, where he clarified that India's response has been paused but not abandoned. He underlined that every action by Pakistan will be meticulously monitored, referring to Operation Sindoor as a solid stance against terrorism. Modi also pointed out that the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force are on high alert to thwart any aggressive actions.
In his inaugural address to the nation post-Operation Sindoor, Modi stated, “Firstly, if there is a terrorist attack on India, a fitting reply will be given. We will respond on our terms only. We will take stringent action at every location from where the roots of terrorism emerge. Secondly, India will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail. We will strike accurately and decisively at the terrorist hideouts that develop under the guise of nuclear blackmail.”
“Thirdly, we will not make a distinction between the government that sponsors terrorism and the masterminds behind it. During Operation Sindoor, the world has been reminded of Pakistan's ugly reality, as high-ranking Pakistani army officials came to bid farewell to the slain terrorists. This serves as strong evidence of state-sponsored terrorism. We will persist in taking resolute measures to safeguard India and our citizens from any threats.”
Prime Minister Modi added, “Terror and dialogue cannot coexist. Terror and commerce cannot coexist. And blood and water cannot flow together.”
