Patna, Oct 22 (NationPress) Chirag Paswan, the chief of Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas (LJPRV), launched a fierce attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday, ridiculing his promises to regularize contractual employees and Jivika Didis as mere “fantasies of Mungeri Lal”.
During a press briefing in Patna, Paswan remarked, “First, he needs to establish a government before dreaming of such promises. The leaders of the Grand Alliance are entangled in their own disputes, resulting in the complete collapse of the Mahagathbandhan. If Tejashwi Yadav believes he will ascend to power, he is merely indulging in fantasies.”
He also criticized the Congress party, stating, “After a long hiatus, they have finally decided to hold a joint press conference. Congress’s election in-charge, Ashok Gehlot, has only arrived in Patna after the collapse of the Grand Alliance. Where is Rahul Gandhi, who was previously misleading the public about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)? Shouldn't it be a moral obligation for Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav to maturely resolve their seat arrangements?”
Paswan declared that the alliance had been “entirely dismantled,” highlighting ongoing disputes over candidate placements.
“They have nominated candidates against each other in 10 to 12 constituencies. In a district with six constituencies, if they are clashing over just one, how can voters in the other five trust their unity? They lack the capability to form, manage, or sustain alliances,” he stated.
He asserted that the people of Bihar have come to understand that the Grand Alliance is untrustworthy when it comes to governance.
“The same way we triumphed in Haryana, we will see similar results in Bihar. The Congress faced defeat there, and the Grand Alliance will encounter a similar fate here,” Paswan emphasized.
Addressing the leadership conflict within the opposition coalition, the LJPRV chief noted, “There is a power struggle between Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav regarding who should lead the alliance. In contrast, all NDA partners have unanimously agreed to contest under Nitish Kumar's leadership. No objections have been raised against his name in our alliance. We have finalized the seat distribution, announced candidates, filed nominations, and are actively campaigning.”
He also took a jab at those criticizing Nitish Kumar's health, stating, “Those questioning his well-being should observe that he is vigorously campaigning. What are the leaders of the Grand Alliance doing? Why aren't they visible in the field?”
Earlier that day, Ashok Gehlot, the Congress election in-charge and former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, met with RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in Patna, claiming that “everything is fine within the Grand Alliance” and announcing a joint press conference scheduled for Thursday.
