Beed (Maharashtra), April 2 (NationPress) - The Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and the guardian minister for Beed district, Ajit Pawar, declared on Wednesday that he will take stringent actions against the gangs involved in thermal ash transport and sand mining. His mission is to eradicate these groups as part of his commitment to development and transformation of the district.

Ajit Pawar emphasized that bullying will no longer be accepted, contrasting it with previous practices.

He cautioned that individuals engaging in bullying tactics would face charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

During a rally for the NCP, Dy CM Ajit Pawar expressed that, as the guardian minister, he would not condone any illegal activities and urged party members to prioritize social and developmental initiatives. He suggested that only 20% of their efforts should be directed towards political engagements.

“We need to tackle problems like unemployment. It is crucial to boost educational enrollment and address the challenges faced by local businesses and farmers,” he stated.

“Disseminate the party's message to the populace. Avoid posting divisive content on social media. Those involved in bullying and instigating unrest will face consequences,” he warned.

His visit coincides with heightened attention on Beed district following the alarming murder of Massajog sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh and the escalating law and order issues.

A group of teachers, who had been protesting for several days, shouted slogans as Ajit Pawar’s convoy passed, seeking his attention for their concerns.

Notably, former minister and NCP legislator, Dhananjay Munde, did not attend Dy CM's visit today due to illness.

Munde had resigned on March 5 after a police charge sheet implicated his associate Walmik Karad as the mastermind behind the sarpanch's murder in December.

Ajit Pawar, the NCP’s National President, remarked at the rally, “Beed is the land of gods and goddesses. Their blessings will empower us to serve the people.”

Dy CM Pawar assured that as the guardian minister, he would push for numerous development projects approved by both the Cabinet and the District Planning and Development Council, aiming to initiate substantial development by December this year.
