New Delhi, Sep 29 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the new office of the Delhi BJP located in central Delhi. He acknowledged the significant contributions of the party's city workers, who aided Partition refugees, advocated for public rights during the Emergency, and safeguarded Sikhs during the 1984 riots.
Emphasizing the efforts of the Delhi BJP government to meet public expectations following a 27-year hiatus, he stated that the vision of “Viksit Bharat, Viksit Delhi” can only be realized through the collaborative efforts of the government and the party.
PM Modi commended the initiatives of the Rekha Gupta administration, which include constructing housing for slum residents, enhancing healthcare facilities, launching e-buses, and cleaning the Yamuna.
He urged Delhi BJP workers to ensure that all citizens benefit from the recent GST reductions and encouraged city leaders to celebrate all festivals, fostering a thriving ‘Mini-India’ that reflects cultural diversity.
“Celebrating festivals from various states in Delhi is crucial for fostering unity and patriotism,” he remarked.
He called upon BJP workers to aspire to transform the capital into a world-class city, which would be a point of pride for citizens across the nation.
PM Modi also recognized the foundational figures and leaders of the Delhi Jansangh and BJP, such as L.K. Advani, V.K. Malhotra, Kedarnath Sahani, Sahib Singh, Madan Lal Khurana, Arun Jaitley, and Sushma Swaraj.
Prior to the inauguration, PM Modi praised the historical struggles of city leaders and expressed hope that the new office would invigorate the organization.
In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi stated, “The legacy of BJP workers in Delhi exemplifies resilience and commitment. Despite numerous challenges, they have kept the organization thriving and significantly contributed to its strength.”
“I am confident that this new permanent state office will empower the organization with fresh vigor, clear direction, and renewed self-assurance,” he added.
Earlier in the day, CM Gupta, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, and other leaders offered prayers at the new office located at 5, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, just a short distance from the National BJP office on the same street.
This new Delhi BJP office, designed in a five-storey South Indian architectural style, occupies a plot of approximately 825 square meters.
The basement includes parking facilities; the ground floor hosts a conference room, reception area, and canteen. The first floor features an auditorium with a capacity for 300 attendees, while the second floor accommodates various departmental rooms and staff offices.
The third floor is designated for the offices of the state vice president, general secretary, and secretary. On the fourth floor are rooms for leaders from other states, and the fifth floor houses the offices for the state BJP president, state organization general secretary, and Delhi MPs.
