New Delhi, May 24 (NationPress) India has undergone remarkable transformations over the past decade, with our economy expanding and 250 million individuals lifted out of poverty, stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.

During the 10th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog held at Bharat Mandapam, PM Modi urged states to capitalize on their manufacturing capabilities to attract investments.

He remarked, “This presents an exceptional chance to accelerate our growth trajectory,” sharing insights through a series of posts on the X platform.

Chief ministers, governors, and lieutenant governors from various states attended the meeting, which revolved around the theme ‘Viksit Rajya for Viksit Bharat@2047.’

“We engaged in a productive exchange of ideas to attain this vision,” highlighted PM Modi.

The Prime Minister pointed out that education and skill development were crucial topics in the discussions.

“The National Education Policy has emphasized this aspect significantly. We also deliberated on improving our urban centers, recognizing that rapid urbanization is a pressing reality of our times,” he noted.

Additionally, he reaffirmed that the welfare of farmers remains a key priority.

“We discussed strategies to modernize the agricultural sector and enhance the prosperity of our dedicated farmers. There was also significant emphasis on harnessing the power of science and technology to advance the sector and improve soil health,” PM Modi stated.

According to him, India should strive to create cities that are ready for the future. "India is witnessing rapid urbanization. We must aim for future-ready cities where growth, innovation, and sustainability drive development," stated PM Modi at the event.

"We need to accelerate the pace of development. If the Centre and all States unite and collaborate like Team India, no objective is insurmountable," he added.
