This visit, as noted by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), commemorates the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both nations. It serves as a platform to deepen India-Jordan bilateral engagement, explore fresh collaboration opportunities for mutual growth, and reaffirm the commitment to fostering regional peace, prosperity, and stability.
Next, PM Modi will travel to Ethiopia from December 16, invited by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali. This marks PM Modi's inaugural visit to the African nation.
During this visit, he will engage in extensive discussions with Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali regarding various aspects of India-Ethiopia relations. The visit symbolizes the shared commitment of both countries as partners in the Global South to enhance their friendship and bilateral cooperation, as stated by the MEA.
Finally, at the invitation of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman, PM Modi will visit Oman from December 17-18.
India and Oman maintain a comprehensive Strategic Partnership, founded on centuries-old friendship, trade connections, and strong people-to-people interactions. This visit will celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations and follows a recent state visit by the Sultan of Oman to India in December 2023. This trip will allow both nations to thoroughly assess their bilateral partnership, including sectors like trade, investment, energy, defense, and technology, while also discussing regional and global matters of shared interest, according to the MEA.
This will mark PM Modi's second visit to Oman.
