Ahmedabad, Sep 19 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Gujarat on Saturday to take part in the 'Samudra se Samriddhi' event in Bhavnagar, where he will launch and lay the groundwork for numerous development initiatives exceeding Rs 34,200 crore.

The initiatives encompass vital sectors such as maritime infrastructure, renewable energy, highways, healthcare, and urban transport.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation for various projects in the maritime domain valued at over Rs 7,870 crore.

Among the highlights, he will unveil the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at Indira Dock.

He will establish the foundation for a new container terminal and related facilities at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata; new container berth and cargo handling facilities at Paradip Port in Odisha; the Tuna Tekra Multi-Cargo Terminal in Gujarat; firefighting facilities and enhanced road connectivity at Kamarajar Port in Ennore (Tamil Nadu); coastal protection works, including sea walls and revetments at Chennai Port; sea wall construction at Car Nicobar Island; a multi-purpose cargo berth and Green bio-methanol plant at Deendayal Port in Kandla; and ship repair facilities at Patna and Varanasi.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various projects valued at more than Rs 26,354 crore undertaken by both the Central and state governments, addressing diverse sectors in Gujarat.

He is expected to unveil the HPLNG Regasification Terminal at Chhara Port, the Acrylics and Oxo Alcohol Project at Gujarat IOCL Refinery, the 600 MW Green Shoe Initiative, the PM-KUSUM 475 MW Component solar feeder for farmers, and the 45 MW Badeli Solar PV Project, along with the complete solarisation of Dhordo village, among other projects.

He will lay the foundations for LNG infrastructure, additional renewable energy projects, coastal protection initiatives, highways, and healthcare and urban transport projects, which include expansions at Sir T. General Hospital in Bhavnagar, Guru Govind Sinh Government Hospital at Jamnagar, and the four-laning of 70 km of national highways.

The Prime Minister will also conduct an aerial survey of the Dholera Special Investment Region, envisioned as a greenfield industrial city centered on sustainable industrialization, smart infrastructure, and global investment.

Furthermore, he will assess the development progress of the National Maritime Heritage Complex at Lothal, which is being built at a cost of about Rs 4,500 crore to honor and preserve India's ancient maritime traditions while serving as a hub for tourism, research, education, and skill development.
