Shivamogga (Karnataka), Nov 13 (NationPress) Karnataka BJP President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra emphasized on Thursday that in a national emergency, such as a bomb blast, it is crucial for all political parties to come together in unity, rather than engaging in political maneuvering.
Addressing the media, Vijayendra stated, "When terrorist groups commit such despicable acts, our primary responsibility is to unite as Indians and refrain from making divisive political remarks. Rahul Gandhi, despite being the Leader of the Opposition, has yet to comment on this terrorist incident in Delhi. Meanwhile, senior leaders from the Congress party are making reckless statements," he noted.
He accused the Congress party of orchestrating a conspiracy to link this incident to the upcoming Bihar elections.
"This is not only an act of foolishness by the Congress; it represents a betrayal against our nation," Vijayendra declared.
He called upon senior leaders from the Congress and other political figures across the nation to set aside their differences and act collectively during such a critical period.
Discussing the incident, Vijayendra remarked, "The recent car explosion near the Red Fort in New Delhi has been confirmed as a terrorist attack. Union Home Minister Amit Shah promptly visited the blast site, followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting the hospitals to see the victims. It has come to light that significant locations such as Parliament House, the BJP headquarters, the Air Force office, and the Army establishment were on the terrorists' target list," he explained.
Sugarcane farmers are currently facing severe challenges and have been protesting for over a month. I personally took part in an overnight protest in Belagavi. Although the Chief Minister convened a meeting, the situation remains unresolved. The agitation is escalating in districts like Bidar and Bagalkot," he added.
Vijayendra urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to prioritize farmers' welfare over internal party issues and make decisive actions.
He also requested the state government to dispatch district in-charge Ministers to the affected regions to tackle this crisis.
"The foolish Congress party needs to reconsider its own history since Independence," Vijayendra remarked with sarcasm.
"Senior leaders of Congress should examine how many times they should feel embarrassed. In fact, they should consider starting a bangle factory," he joked, suggesting cowardice.
He also reminded that numerous soldiers and citizens have sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism, while Congress leaders continue to indulge in irresponsible politics.
