Is Prajakta Koli's Journey in Digital Creation a Rollercoaster Without a Roadmap?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Dec 9 (NationPress) Actor and content creator Prajakta Koli believes that the digital landscape is not slowing down. Instead, she asserts that it has become a broader, quicker, and more unpredictable realm compared to her start nearly a decade ago.
When asked about the potential shelf life of content creators in an era dominated by influencers, Prajakta responded to IANS: “I don’t think so. I also don’t believe it has diminished. It has evolved into something different. A decade ago, the focus was primarily on long-form content. Now, attention spans have shortened, and the number of platforms has increased.”
She highlighted how shrinking attention spans and the proliferation of platforms have led to a unique demand. Referring to the digital surge that began in 2017, she noted that the ecosystem has only expanded since then.
“Thanks to the digital boom in India in 2017, we’ve reached a point where there is an abundance of opportunities. We have more creators than ever before,” she stated.
“This is also why India stands as the largest digital economy globally right now, attracting attention and collaboration from around the world.”
Describing the creator journey as unpredictable, she mentioned that the industry lacks a definitive blueprint.
“I don’t perceive a shelf life because, in my view, we lack a roadmap for this. It is incredibly unpredictable. It’s like a rollercoaster. Just as you think your videos are succeeding, the excitement can vanish with the next upload. There’s no consistent pattern, no rhythm to this chaos. It’s something you navigate on your own,” she explained.
For Prajakta, adaptability has been essential.
She added: “That’s why, for me, identifying what works, what doesn’t, and then adjusting to new trends has been crucial over the last ten years.”
