Hyderabad, Feb 16 (NationPress) The team behind 'Saraswathi', marking Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's directorial debut, has unveiled the initial glimpse of Prakash Raj as Ramanujam, a lawyer in the film.

On their X account, Dosa Diaries, the production house shared a teaser featuring behind-the-scenes footage of Prakash Raj and expressed gratitude with the message, "Thank you Prakash Raj sir for embodying our RAMANUJAM. #Saraswathi First Look is out now. Actress Varalaxmi also conveyed her appreciation to the veteran actor, stating, "Thank you so much sir..!!! It was a pleasure having you on board."

Notably, the film's production team had previously announced that shooting concluded on December 30 of the last year.

Varalaxmi took to her Instagram to share an emotional reflection, saying, "It’s been quite a year for my directorial debut #Saraswathi... We started shooting just a month ago, and now it’s a wrap for #Saraswathi."

The actress-turned-director expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the film's creation, stating, "Thanks to every individual involved in this incredible journey. All my actors, team members, every light technician to production support. Thank you. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. There’s more to share soon... Wishing everyone a fabulous new year ahead."

The film is produced by Varalaxmi herself along with her sister Pooja under the Dosa Diaries label.

In addition to Varalaxmi, the film features a talented cast, including Prakash Raj, Priya Mani, Radhikaa Sarathkumar, and Naveen Chandra.

'Saraswathi' also showcases a skilled technical team, with music composed by renowned music director Thaman.

Cinematography is led by Edwin Sakay, editing is managed by Venkat Raajen, art direction is attributed to Sudheer, and dance choreography is executed by Brinda.

While details about the film's storyline remain under wraps, insiders suggest it will be a contemporary thriller designed to captivate audiences from beginning to end.

On a separate note, Varalaxmi is also gearing up for a Hollywood film alongside British actor Jeremy Irons.

It’s worth noting that Varalaxmi, who plays a significant role in the international film 'Rizana - A Caged Bird', described working with the Academy Award winner as a surreal experience.
