Chandigarh, Jan 19 (NationPress) At the inauguration of a ₹15 crore Government Degree College in Ajnala, located in the Amritsar district, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann asserted that the Congress, Akali Dal, and BJP have systematically exploited Punjab for years, undermining its institutions and nudging countless youth to seek opportunities overseas.

The new college, which is set to honor the esteemed scholar Baba Ghamchuk ji, symbolizes the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's commitment to rejuvenate ‘Rangla Punjab’ through education, opportunities, and community involvement.

CM Mann emphasized that while the state government aims to provide extensive facilities and institutional backing, it is crucial for every Punjabi to contribute their part to transform Punjab into a ‘Rangla Punjab’ where children are not forced to leave the country in pursuit of a better future.

While addressing attendees, CM Mann noted the internal strife rampant among these parties, pointing out their lack of a tangible agenda for the populace's benefit.

“The Opposition lacks a vision for Punjab. They are merely biding their time to exploit the people and the state's resources. Their aspirations will remain unfulfilled because the people of Punjab are discerning and brave, fully aware of such leaders' dubious natures,” he stated.

He further declared that Punjabis will resist these forces in their manipulative schemes.

CM Mann urged citizens to be wary of self-serving and power-hungry politicians, warning that traditional parties aim solely to exploit Punjab and its residents.

“It is essential to entirely dismiss these parties so that the government's efforts to cultivate 'Rangla Punjab' can succeed,” CM Mann remarked, adding that his administration is tirelessly working to expedite development by establishing new Aam Aadmi Clinics, schools, colleges, and implementing various people-centric initiatives.

Referring to the recently inaugurated project, CM Mann noted the establishment of a co-educational college in Bikraur, a village adjacent to the International Border.

“This college will enable youth from the border region to pursue higher education close to their homes. An investment of ₹15 crore will be allocated for constructing this institution over a span of 15 acres,” CM Mann stated, expressing gratitude to the Bikraur panchayat and residents for their land donation for the project.
