Chandigarh, Nov 28 (NationPress) The Punjab Election Commission has officially declared that elections for 23 Zila Parishads and 154 Panchayat Samitis will take place on December 14, with the counting of votes scheduled for December 17.

State Election Commissioner Raj Kamal Chaudhuri announced that the nomination filing process will commence on December 1 at designated Returning Officer offices.

The deadline for submitting nominations is set for December 4, with the scrutiny of these papers occurring on December 5.

Candidates have until December 6 to withdraw their nominations.
