The Armed Forces Flag Day, also known as the Flag Day of India, is dedicated to honoring the soldiers and veterans of India's armed forces. It has been observed annually in India on December 7 since 1949.
On this day, small flags are distributed to civilians in exchange for donations. Flag Day becomes increasingly significant as it emphasizes the responsibility of the civilian population to support the families and dependents of armed forces personnel who defend our country.
The Kendriya Sainik Board’s (KSB) regional branches oversee fund collection nationwide as part of Flag Day, with assistance from various voluntary organizations.
