Hyderabad, July 11 (NationPress) MLA T. Raja Singh, whose resignation from the BJP was accepted by the party's central leadership on Friday, has stated his unwavering commitment to Hindutva until his last breath.
The representative from Goshamahal constituency in Hyderabad expressed his sentiments through a post on the social media platform 'X'.
Currently participating in the Amarnath Yatra, Raja Singh affirmed that he will continue to advocate for the rights of the Hindu community.
He did not disclose any intentions to join another political party.
“Exactly 11 years ago today, I became a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. With the goal of serving the people, the nation, and safeguarding Hindutva, I chose to join the BJP. The party placed its trust in me by granting me a ticket for the MLA position from Goshamahal in the Telangana Assembly elections for three consecutive terms. I am deeply grateful to all BJP office bearers for this faith,” said Raja Singh.
“Today, my resignation has been accepted by the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, J.P. Nadda. Perhaps I failed to communicate the anguish of millions of BJP workers who toil tirelessly with the aspiration of establishing a government in Telangana. I want to clarify that my decision is not motivated by any desire for position, power, or personal benefit,” he wrote.
“I was born to serve Hindutva, and I will persist in my efforts until my final breath. I will work with unwavering dedication and integrity for the protection of Hindutva, nationalism, and Sanatan Dharma. For the sake of society and the rights of the Hindu community, I will continue to raise my voice until my last breath,” Raja Singh emphasized.
The MLA had resigned from the primary membership of the BJP on June 30 to protest the appointment of Ramchander Rao as the president of the party's Telangana unit.
In his resignation letter addressed to then-state BJP President G. Kishan Reddy, Raja Singh expressed that the appointment of Ramchander Rao as the state BJP President was a shock and disappointment, not only to him but to countless party workers.
“At a time when the BJP is on the verge of forming its first government in Telangana, such a decision raises serious concerns about our direction,” he wrote.
Raja Singh also pointed out that there are many capable senior leaders, MLAs, and MPs who have worked tirelessly for the growth of the BJP and possess the strength, credibility, and connections to lead the party forward.
The BJP's National General Secretary and headquarters in-charge, Arun Singh, informed Raja Singh on Friday that his resignation has been accepted immediately as per the directive of J.P. Nadda.
Referring to Raja Singh's resignation letter, Arun Singh stated that the contents were brought to Nadda's attention. “The points you raised are irrelevant and do not align with the functioning, ideology, and principles of the party,” reads Arun Singh's letter.
