Hyderabad, Sep 10 (NationPress) MLA T. Raja Singh, who recently stepped down from the BJP, is boldly daring Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy to resign and contest against him in the upcoming elections.
The representative from Goshamahal constituency in Hyderabad (Telangana) stated that if Kishan Reddy vacates his MP position, he will similarly resign from the MLA role.
The outspoken Hindutva leader challenged Kishan Reddy to run against him in the by-election for both the Secunderabad Lok Sabha and the Goshamahal Assembly seats.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Raja Singh criticized the BJP's state leadership, asserting that internal divisions were undermining the party's strength in Telangana.
He emphasized that under the current leadership, the BJP is unlikely to gain power in Telangana. “If BJP comes to power in Telangana with the present committee, I will take retirement from politics,” he stated.
Raja Singh claimed to have the support of Central BJP leaders, stating that they frequently contact him.
The MLA intends to meet with Central leaders to inform them about the developments within the state party unit.
Raja Singh dismissed any intentions of joining the Congress or Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), maintaining, “I am still a BJP leader. I am not secular.”
He resigned from the BJP on June 30 in protest against the appointment of Ramchander Rao as the state party president.
Following the acceptance of his resignation by BJP national president J. P. Nadda, Raja Singh declared his commitment to Hindutva.
“I was born to serve Hindutva, and I will continue to work for Hindutva until my last breath. I will always work with complete dedication and honesty for the protection of Hindutva, nationalism, and Sanatan Dharma. For the service of society and the rights of the Hindu community, I will continue to raise my voice until my last breath,” Raja Singh affirmed.
In his resignation letter, Raja Singh expressed that Ramchander Rao's appointment as state president was a shock and disappointment to him and many party workers.
“At a time when BJP stands at the threshold of forming the first government in Telangana, such a choice raises serious doubts about the direction we are heading,” he wrote.
