Jaipur, Oct 23 (NationPress) On the occasion of his birth anniversary, Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari unveiled a wax statue of her father, Mahavir Chakra recipient Maharaja Brigadier Sawai Bhawani Singh, at Nahargarh.

This event not only honored the legacy of a royal warrior but also celebrated a national hero who embodied bravery, humility, and dedication to the nation.

"This is a profoundly proud and emotional experience for me. My father represented not just valor but also discipline and compassion. His legacy continues to serve as an inspiration for many, and seeing his likeness at Nahargarh fills me with pride. This moment resonates with immense pride and emotion for me. He was a source of pride not just for our family but for the entire nation. His statue will motivate each visitor to embrace the values of national service and courage," she stated.

A special 8-minute documentary showcasing Brigadier Bhawani Singh’s life and military accomplishments was presented, evoking strong emotions among attendees.

The film spotlighted his heroic contributions during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, for which he was awarded the Mahavir Chakra, India's second-highest award for gallantry.

Also present was Rakesh Cholak, Chairman of Amer Fort. Anoop Srivastava, Founder Director of Jaipur Wax Museum, expressed his gratitude, saying, "It’s an honor to immortalize such a remarkable son of India through our art. Brigadier Bhawani Singh Ji was the first Maharaja from a royal lineage to join the Indian Army post-Independence. His choice to exchange royal comforts for military service showcases true patriotism. His wax figure will continue to inspire countless visitors."

Anoop further emphasized that the Jaipur Wax Museum aims to celebrate Rajasthan’s brave warriors and royal legacy, focusing beyond just cinematic icons.

The museum already features lifelike wax figures of Maharana Pratap, Sawai Jai Singh II, Sawai Ram Singh II, Sawai Madho Singh II, and Maharani Gayatri Devi, among others.

The inclusion of Brigadier Bhawani Singh’s figure enhances the museum’s “Royal Darbar” section. This meticulously crafted wax figure stands as a beacon of valor, service, and Rajasthan’s royal heritage.

The unveiling ceremony concluded with attendees paying heartfelt respects to the Maharaja, celebrating his life, legacy, and contributions to the Indian Army and the city of Jaipur. Installed in the "Royal Darbar" section of the Jaipur Wax Museum, the statue serves as a tribute to Brigadier Sawai Bhawani Singh’s bravery, discipline, and spirit of service.

Artists conducted extensive research over several months to bring the statue to life, with its initial clay face unveiled on his death anniversary in April.

Anoop remarked that Sawai Bhawani Singh’s character serves as an inspiration not just for Rajasthan but for the entire nation.

He added, "Our goal is not merely entertainment but to bring the glorious chapters of history and valor closer to the people."

The event was attended by former military personnel, members of the museum team, and various dignitaries from the city.
