Jaipur, Dec 10 (NationPress) Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal emphasized the significant strides Rajasthan is making and called on the diaspora to embrace their role as global brand ambassadors for the state.
During the inaugural celebration of the first Pravasi Rajasthani Divas, he stated, "Among the Rs 35 lakh crore MoUs established during Rising Rajasthan, a quarter have already been executed. I encourage all Rajasthanis abroad to take on the role of global brand ambassadors for our state."
He continued, "With over 1 crore Rajasthani expatriates worldwide, even small contributions can help Rajasthan ascend to the top position among Indian states."
The event, held in Jaipur, was officially launched by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, marking a key moment in the state's outreach to its global community.
Prominent industrialists from both India and abroad are in attendance, where the Rajasthan government is set to finalize MoUs worth Rs 1 lakh crore across various sectors.
The Union Minister commended the collaborative efforts between the state government and the Centre, praising CM Sharma's vision for "innovation-driven governance."
Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, the state Industries Minister, noted, "We have established 37 industrial zones and 2,000 industrial plots, demonstrating our commitment to enhancing the ease of doing business. Our new policies embody this vision."
During the initial session, Rathore announced that the government would unveil 13 new policies aimed at fostering investment.
"These initiatives will simplify business operations like never before," he asserted. A standout moment came from Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal, who revealed plans to create a 200-industry park in Rajasthan, ensuring seamless access to essential resources like electricity, water, land, and raw materials for large-scale industrial activities.
Over 8,000 individuals have registered for this event at JECC, with around 1,000 attendees present during the opening session.
To ensure smooth operations, 50 officers from the Rajasthan Administrative Services have been assigned for coordination and protocol management.
The event will showcase a special film that highlights Rajasthan's connection with its global diaspora, alongside sector-specific discussions on renewable energy, tourism, education, industry, health, water, and mining, concluding with an open house session and unveiling of the state's Vision 2047 inside the 'Progress Path Hall', adorned with heritage-themed designs of stepwells, havelis, and advancements in renewable energy.
