Jaipur, Dec 6 (NationPress) The final preparations for the forthcoming Pravasi Rajasthani Divas, initiated by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, are nearing completion.
As the event approaches on December 10, initiatives for enhancing greenery, decorations, and cleanliness are being undertaken throughout Jaipur.
Rajasthan is set to warmly welcome its guests, with significant excitement among Non-Resident Rajasthanis and industrialists arriving from both domestic and international locations.
To date, over 8,700 individuals have registered for the occasion.
Chief Secretary V. Srinivas and Shikhar Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Industries & Commerce Department, visited the venue at JECC, Sitapura to monitor the arrangements.
During their inspection, they evaluated the main ceremony area, the halls designated for sectoral sessions, and the ‘Progress Path’ being established to highlight the state government's accomplishments.
The Chief Secretary instructed officials to finish all outstanding tasks within the next 48 hours. He emphasized that the preparations for this landmark event align with the Chief Minister’s vision.
The Chief Minister is actively overseeing the progress and personally reaching out to Non-Resident Rajasthanis to extend invitations.
Shikhar Agrawal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department, noted that the primary goal of the event is to re-establish connections for Non-Resident Rajasthanis with their heritage and encourage their involvement in the state’s growth.
A new policy has also been introduced to tackle challenges encountered in this endeavor. Suresh Kumar Ola, Commissioner of the Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP), reported that, following the Chief Minister’s guidance, the venue is being designed to showcase Rajasthan’s rich culture and heritage, ensuring that Non-Resident Rajasthanis feel a sense of belonging and take home cherished memories.
Considering that guests may wish to explore Jaipur’s attractions, comprehensive arrangements have been established.
The Archaeology and Museum Department has designated nodal officers at protected sites for visitor convenience.
Moreover, the Forest Department has appointed nodal officers to provide insights on forest and wildlife tourism.
During last year’s Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma proclaimed that December 10 would be commemorated annually as Pravasi Rajasthani Divas.
