Jaipur, Dec 10 (NationPress) The Pravasi Rajasthani Divas was celebrated on Wednesday as Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and prominent industrialists from both India and abroad gathered in Jaipur for the state-level event held at JECC, Sitapura. This grand occasion will see the introduction of 13 new state policies, the signing of MoUs, and a groundbreaking ceremony for investment proposals totaling Rs 1 lakh crore.
Distinguished guests at the event included Governor Haribhau Bagde, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, and Union Ministers Manohar Lal Khattar, Piyush Goyal, and Bhupendra Yadav.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan along with other notable figures will engage in discussions throughout the event.
Additionally, Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal will also partake in the program. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is expected to attend later.
Industry leaders, such as Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal and Tata Power CEO Praveer Sinha, will address the audience.
Several cabinet ministers including Industries Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore will also be present.
The state government plans to unveil policies targeting key sectors like industry promotion and trade, Global Capability Centre (GCC), tourism, Pravasi Rajasthani Policy, AI and Machine Learning, Space and Aero-Defence, Green Growth Credit Policy, Agriculture and Food Processing, IT Outsourcing, Forest and Agroforestry, Sports Policy, and Vehicle Scrapping Policy.
These initiatives aim to boost Rajasthan's economic growth, attract international investors, and generate new opportunities for innovation and employment.
The program commenced at 11 a.m. with an inaugural ceremony, followed by sector-specific sessions that will address industry, energy, water, tourism, mining, education, and health.
Experts will explore Rajasthan's evolving industrial landscape and highlight emerging investment opportunities.
Outstanding NRIs making significant contributions across various fields will be recognized with the Pravasi Rajasthani Samman.
The evening will conclude with a cultural presentation celebrating Rajasthani heritage. Following the inauguration, parallel sessions will occur focusing on Pravasi Rajasthani Dialogue, New and Renewable Energy, tourism, education, mining, health, industry, and water.
Office bearers from 26 Rajasthan Chapters across India and overseas will be in attendance, including representatives from Munich, Nairobi, Dubai, Singapore, Doha, Tokyo, Riyadh, Melbourne, Kampala, Kathmandu, London, and New York. Chapters from major Indian cities such as Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata will also be participating. The event aims to foster stronger ties with NRIs and utilize their global experiences for the development of Rajasthan.
