Jaipur, Dec 9 (NationPress) The ‘Non-resident Rajasthani Day’ event, initiated by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, aims to unite non-resident Rajasthanis residing in India and around the globe.
Over 8,700 participants have registered for the occasion.
A ground-breaking ceremony for investment proposals totaling Rs 1 lakh crore is scheduled to occur at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) on December 10.
The unveiling of the Overseas Rajasthani Policy and new investment promotion strategies will be part of the proceedings. The one-day event will kick off at 10 AM with an inaugural session, followed by discussions with the overseas Rajasthani community and sector-specific sessions on industry, energy, water resources, mining, education, tourism, and health.
Experts will delve into Rajasthan’s changing industrial landscape and explore new collaborative opportunities. The Pravasi Rajasthani Samman will honor distinguished non-resident Rajasthanis for their invaluable contributions.
The evening will showcase a vibrant cultural program that celebrates Rajasthani heritage. Representatives from 26 Rajasthan Chapters will participate, including 12 international chapters from cities like Munich, Nairobi, Dubai, Singapore, Doha, Tokyo, Riyadh, Melbourne, Kampala, Kathmandu, London, and New York. The 14 domestic chapters include Delhi, Ranchi, Guwahati, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, and Coimbatore.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the state government is diligently working to transform investment proposals into tangible outcomes.
A total of Rs 35 lakh crore in investment agreements were signed under Rising Rajasthan, with Rs 7 lakh crore in MoUs already realized.
With the groundbreaking of projects worth Rs 1 lakh crore on December 10, the total implemented investment will rise to Rs 8 lakh crore.
More than 10 new policies, including the NRI Rajasthani Policy, will be introduced to further establish Rajasthan as a premier global investment hub.
A thematic exhibition titled ‘Progressive Path’ will be showcased at the venue, illustrating Rajasthan’s developmental journey. Display panels and video presentations will highlight the state government’s key achievements.

Numerous new initiatives have been launched to strengthen communication and collaboration with the Rajasthani diaspora, including declaring Pravasi Rajasthani Day, establishing a dedicated department for diaspora welfare, and implementing the Pravasi Rajasthani Policy.
A single-point contact system has been established for migrant families in each district, with the Additional District Collector serving as the nodal officer to address their needs.
The event will host notable figures, including Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Union Minister of Power, Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupendra Yadav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary, Industry and Commerce Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore, along with other ministers, public representatives, and prominent industrialists.
Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma first announced during the Pravasi Rajasthani Conclave at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit that December 10 would be commemorated annually as Pravasi Rajasthani Day.
This year marks the inaugural celebration of this initiative, with pre-events having already taken place in Hyderabad, Surat, and Kolkata, in addition to a dedicated tourism pre-meet.
