Jaipur, Dec 10 (NationPress) The second day of the Rising Rajasthan Summit commenced with an NRI conclave on Tuesday, during which Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced the formation of a new department specifically for non-resident Rajasthanis.
Additionally, he declared that December 10 will be celebrated each year as 'NRI Rajasthani Day'.
These announcements were made by CM Sharma at the NRI Rajasthani Conclave.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister stated that the government will launch the Pravasi Rajasthani Award. During the conclave, the Rajasthan government showcased various investment opportunities for migrant Rajasthanis along with the special amenities available to them.
The event held at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC) was graced by Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, and a number of ministers.
In his speech, Chief Minister Sharma noted that Rajasthanis are not only expanding their businesses throughout India but are also making substantial contributions to social initiatives.
He highlighted that wherever migrant Rajasthanis reside, they actively participate in establishing cowsheds, Dharamshalas, and even crematoriums. "You are spreading the essence of Rajasthan's soil everywhere," he remarked.
He also urged migrant Rajasthanis to invest in their homeland, especially in sectors such as tourism, hotels, and infrastructure surrounding religious sites, as well as in industries like automobiles and technology.
Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister of Industry, stressed that the state has eliminated bureaucratic obstacles to cultivate a more investor-friendly atmosphere. "We have introduced 21 new policies to attract investment," he stated.
Rathore welcomed the expatriate Rajasthanis, saying, "You are always welcome in your home, and when you return, it's a festival. You have made the Rising Rajasthan Summit a festival, and we thank you for that."
The Rising Rajasthan Summit, a three-day event, is expected to have a lasting impact and will persist beyond its closure, he added.
At the start of the conclave, 108 children from 34 villages of Barmer and Jaisalmer warmly greeted the delegates and expatriate Rajasthanis with a rendition of "Padharo Mhare Desh."
