Non-Resident Rajasthanis Hold a Stake in Their Home State: Governor

Jaipur, Dec 10 (NationPress) The Governor of Rajasthan, Haribhau Bagde, proclaimed on Tuesday that non-resident Rajasthanis also have a claim to the state and can significantly influence its growth, having positively impacted economies in various regions where they have established themselves.

"Rajasthanis have flourished wherever they have ventured, and now is the moment to repay their motherland by investing and engaging in its development. Marwaris extend their reach to even the most remote areas," the Governor remarked.

The Governor emphasized the significance of the state's dairy industry, advocating for its further growth, and assured investors of comprehensive support from the state government. He underscored the necessity of enhancing rainwater conservation to enable multiple cropping and called for the establishment of factories in tribal and underdeveloped regions to generate employment opportunities.

Governor Bagde also praised successful initiatives in cow conservation in Rajasthan, commending efforts for the well-being of cows in shelters. He acknowledged the Chief Minister's dedicated actions to attract investment in the state, especially through the recent investment policy.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed pride in the accomplishments of Rajasthanis globally, highlighting their hard work, commitment, and success.

He announced that December 10th will now be observed annually as ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas’. Furthermore, a specialized department will be established to protect the interests of NRIs. To support migrant Rajasthanis, the government plans to set up a single point of contact in each district to address issues faced by their families.

“Rajasthan has garnered international respect due to the relentless efforts of our people,” Chief Minister Sharma stated, reaffirming the government's dedication to further assist NRIs and strengthen ties with their homeland.

Sikkim Governor Om Mathur commended Rajasthanis for their reputation as diligent and entrepreneurial individuals.

“No matter where they go, they establish their name, and they always remember their heritage,” he stated.

Union Minister for Forest and Environment Bhupendra Yadav also addressed the gathering, commending the Chief Minister for establishing a successful platform for investors.

“Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the principle of good governance has thrived, and the Rising Summit plays a crucial role in realizing India’s development vision,” he added.

Meanwhile, business leaders voiced their support for investment in Rajasthan. NRI industrialist Nirmal Kumar Sethia, founder and chairman of the N. Sethia Group (UK), expressed his views, stating that Rajasthan is a land of heroes known for their valor and bravery.

He also showed robust support for the state’s new investment promotion strategies, particularly the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS-2024), and expressed interest in expanding his business activities within the state.
