The Chief Minister recognized the essential function that farmers serve in maintaining food security for both the nation and the state.
Agriculture and related sectors account for 30 percent of the state's GSDP and provide employment for over 85 lakh families, emphasizing the government's ongoing commitment to their welfare and advancement.
Sharma also stated that water and electricity remain top priorities for the state government.
"In the last year, we have focused on ensuring that farmers have sufficient water and electricity. Initiatives like ERCP-PKC, the Yamuna Water Agreement, Mahi Dam, and the Dewas Project are designed to secure an adequate water supply," he mentioned.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister noted that the state government plans to send innovative farmers abroad to acquire modern agricultural techniques.
He mentioned that the implementation of Agristek will tackle challenges in agriculture through the use of information technology, with farm registry camps commencing in all gram panchayats on February 5.
Women farmers have also received support, with over 32 lakh women farmers obtaining free seed mini kits. The state is also at the forefront in solar energy-based pump installations, Sharma added.
He further stated that under the Rajasthan Cooperative Gopal Credit Card Loan Scheme, cattle rearers are eligible for interest-free short-term loans of up to ₹1 lakh for dairy-related operations.
"Grants to registered gaushalas have been increased by 10 percent, and subsidies are being provided under the Mukhyamantri Dudh Utpadak Sambal Yojana through direct benefit transfers," he noted.
Sharma reaffirmed his administration's promise to elevate the state's farming community through innovative solutions, financial aid, and infrastructure improvements, ensuring a sustainable future for agriculture and dairy in Rajasthan.
