Jaipur, Jan 28 (NationPress) The Rajasthan Minister for School Education, Madan Dilawar, has called upon the public to take part in the 'Surya Namaskar' event scheduled for February 3, coinciding with Surya Saptami. The state is preparing to break a new world record for this occasion.
This event will take place simultaneously in all government and private schools throughout the state at 10:15 a.m. on February 3.
The objective for this year is to exceed the previous record of 1.33 crore students from 78,974 schools participating in the 'Surya Namaskar'.
During a meeting at Shiksha Sankul, Minister Dilawar instructed district and block-level education officers to ensure the event's success.
The Minister highlighted the cultural and health importance of 'Surya Namaskar', stating, "'Surya Namaskar' is a vital aspect of Indian heritage. Regular practice not only improves physical health but also enhances mental wellness. I urge everyone to join us in achieving another world record this year."
The 20-minute event will include students, teachers, dignitaries, and members of the School Management Committee, along with the general public.
Photography and videography will be conducted during the event, with detailed reports uploaded to the Shala Darpan and Private School Portals by 2 p.m. on the same day.
To guarantee a successful execution, practice sessions for 'Surya Namaskar' will be held in all schools leading up to the event.
Participation is mandatory for students in classes 1 to 5, while children who are unwell or have recently undergone surgery will be excused from participating.
Krida Bharti Sanstha will partner with educational institutions to ensure the success of 'Surya Namaskar'. Experts from the organization will visit schools to demonstrate the proper techniques for performing 'Surya Namaskar' and other yoga poses, including Namaskarasana and Hastottanasana.
These practices will be integrated into daily prayer assemblies, culminating in a synchronized performance of the 10 yoga poses on Surya Saptami.
Furthermore, other yoga experts and NGOs will provide their assistance to the schools.
Minister Dilawar will also participate in the event, underscoring its significance.
The planning meeting featured key officials such as the Director of Secondary Education Ashish Modi, Director of Primary Education Sitaram Jat, Commissioner of Sanskrit Education Priyanka Jodhawat, Medh Singh of Krida Bharti, and other dignitaries.
This initiative aims to foster health, tradition, and unity while establishing a new standard for mass participation in yoga.
