Several districts, including Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Churu, Sikar, Jaipur, Nagaur, Barmer, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Jhunjhunu, and Tonk, showed cloudy conditions, providing a slight respite from the heat with reduced sunlight.
The highest temperatures recorded in major cities like Barmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Kota, and Udaipur ranged from 35 to 36 degrees Celsius. In Sikar, the cloud cover during the afternoon led to a slight decrease in temperature.
According to official data, the peak maximum temperature on Wednesday was 38.6 degrees Celsius in Chittorgarh, while Alwar recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 18.2 degrees Celsius. Other notable readings included 35.5 degrees in Barmer, 35.4 degrees in both Jodhpur and Bikaner, 35.8 degrees in Kota, 35 degrees in Alwar, 35.2 degrees in Udaipur, 34.5 degrees in Churu, and 33.6 degrees in Jaipur, Sikar, and Ajmer. Sri Ganganagar noted a temperature of 32.4 degrees. During this period, light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds were reported at isolated locations throughout the state.
The highest rainfall of 12 mm was noted in Devgarh (Rajsamand). Meteorological Centre Director Radheshyam Sharma indicated that this weather system will continue to be active on April 3 and 4, bringing cloudy skies and light to moderate rainfall across many districts.
Regions including Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Churu, Phalodi, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, and Dausa may also face strong winds and isolated hailstorms.
The influence of this system is expected to diminish after April 5, leading to clearer weather conditions across Rajasthan.
