IMD Issues Warning for Rain and Hailstorms Across Rajasthan

Jaipur, Jan 10 (NationPress) The India Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating rain and hailstorms in about 15 districts of Rajasthan on Friday.
A Western Disturbance is expected to become active in the districts of the Bikaner division late Friday evening, bringing light rain, according to the weather office.
The districts likely to experience rain and hailstorms include Bikaner, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Nagaur, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Dausa, Dholpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, and Ajmer.
Areas like Bikaner, Ganganagar, and Hanumangarh will experience cloudy skies.
On Saturday, the effects of the Western Disturbance are expected to extend into the Jaipur, Bikaner, Ajmer, and Bharatpur divisions.
Following a clear sky over the past 24 hours, residents enjoyed a brief respite from the winter chill.
However, dense fog is projected to envelop the area from January 12, complicating the weather conditions.
Additionally, there is a chance of a new weather system activating in the state between January 15-16, which may lead to cloudy conditions in some parts of eastern Rajasthan.
On Thursday, the highest maximum temperature recorded was 29.2 degrees Celsius in Barmer district.
Ten cities, including Sikar, Churu, Nagaur, Baran, Hanumangarh, Jalore, and Sirohi, reported temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature in Phalodi and Jaisalmer was approximately 10 degrees Celsius.
An orange alert has been issued for six districts, warning residents about possible adverse weather conditions.
The maximum temperatures recorded in various locations included: Jodhpur at 28.3 degrees Celsius, Jaisalmer at 27.9, Phalodi at 27.2, Bikaner at 26, Chittorgarh at 27.3, Jalore at 28.2, Dungarpur at 26.1, Churu at 25.8, Udaipur at 24, Pilani at 24.9, Kota at 23.1, Sikar at 24, and Ajmer at 23.8.
On Thursday, Fatehpur, which recorded a chilling low of 1.1 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, saw a rise to 3.3 degrees Celsius, providing some relief.
Barmer reported the highest maximum temperature at 27.2 degrees Celsius, while Fatehpur recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 3.0 degrees Celsius, as per the Meteorological Department.
