Jaipur, March 17 (NationPress) A young man from Rajasthan has tragically lost his life amid the escalating conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. Vikram Verma, aged 22 and hailing from Sikar district, was killed in a drone strike in Oman on March 14, with his remains returning to his village on Tuesday after four days.

His final rites were conducted with a heavy heart in a deeply sorrowful setting. He was from Agloi village located in the Khandela region of the district.

Sikar ADM Ratan Kumar confirmed to IANS the unfortunate news regarding the local resident who perished in the Israel-Iran conflict, stating that his body has finally arrived at his home in Khandela.

As Vikram Verma’s body was brought back, the village witnessed profound grief. His father and older sister were seen weeping uncontrollably. Neighbors from surrounding villages gathered to pay their respects.

Vikram had traveled to Oman on February 23 to work as a laborer for a construction firm involved with road projects.

Just before the attack, he had placed a group video call to his mother, maternal uncle, aunt, and sister, assuring them of his safety and stating that he was being well-fed and was satisfied with his work. Nevertheless, he had voiced concerns over the worsening situation in the region.

His father, Banwari Lal, mentioned that the family received the heartbreaking news from a relative employed by the same company in Oman at a different site.

The company subsequently coordinated the return of Vikram’s remains.

Vikram leaves behind his parents and three sisters, one of whom is already married.

As the family's sole provider, he had ventured abroad with the hope of enhancing their financial circumstances.

Previously, on March 1, another young man from Nagaur district named Dalip was killed in a missile strike while working on a crude oil company's ship. His family learned of his death on March 4.
