On Friday, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari inaugurated the Architecture Festival at JECC, Sitapura, where the winners of the 12th All India Stone Architecture Awards 2025 were honored. Diya Kumari remarked that Rajasthan’s stone has contributed to some of the world’s most stunning structures.
“Rajasthan’s stone is globally acclaimed. Its influence can be seen in the Ram Temple, Akshardham Temple, and numerous significant religious sites, prestigious hotels, and historic edifices. It’s a matter of immense pride for our state that our soil and stone leave a mark internationally,” she stated.
She stressed that India Stonemart is a vital platform for artisans, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs involved in the stone, handicrafts, handloom, and marble sectors.
“This event provides international exposure for small artisans, enhances learning opportunities, and significantly boosts export potential.” Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s philosophy of “development and heritage,” she advocated for incorporating architectural and design elements from Rajasthan’s historical buildings into contemporary constructions.
“Jaipur holds a unique position in global architecture. As the world’s first planned city, it continues to inspire architects worldwide,” she concluded.
The event attracted representatives from Laghu Udyog Bharti, SIDOS, and numerous architects from across the nation.
