Lucknow, July 30 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Minister and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief O.P. Rajbhar harshly criticized Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav for his skepticism regarding the timing of 'Operation Mahadev', during which three terrorists based in Pahalgam were neutralized. This operation coincided with a parliamentary discussion about the tragic events of April 22, leading Yadav to cast doubt on its timing.
Rajbhar swiftly dismissed these concerns, accusing the Opposition of being fixated on vote-bank politics and placing Muslim votes above the nation’s security.
In an interview with IANS, Rajbhar stated, "They are not worried about terrorism or national security. Their only focus is on why Muslims were harmed. They bring these issues to Parliament solely to win over Muslim voters. There’s no inquiry into why these terrorists were active or why Pakistan continues to fuel such activities. The global community is uniting against terrorism, yet our Opposition leaders are preoccupied with electoral strategies."
He specifically pointed fingers at Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, the Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, asserting that both are more invested in political gains than recognizing the government's efforts to safeguard the country.
"Akhilesh desires votes, and so does Rahul Gandhi. That’s why they are vocal in Parliament. They need to grasp what Prime Minister Modi is striving for — enhancing prosperity, ensuring development, and eradicating terrorism from India," he continued.
Rajbhar also defended PM Modi's address in Parliament amid the ongoing 'Operation Sindoor' debate. He commended the Prime Minister's dedication to national development and security while criticizing the Opposition for siding with "those who endorse terrorism."
"The Prime Minister is focused on the nation’s future, its progress, and its security. But what about the Opposition? They are supporting individuals who foster terrorism — all to garner votes. They simply cannot accept the accomplishments of the NDA government or the bravery of our armed forces," he remarked.
Responding to renewed questions from the Opposition regarding India's efforts to reclaim Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) during 'Operation Sindoor', Rajbhar echoed the Prime Minister's sentiments and blamed the Congress for historical failings.
"Who allowed Pakistan to seize our territory initially? It was the Congress. Now, when decisive action is being taken, they are alarmed? They held power for over 60 years — why didn’t they act then? PM Modi has made it clear: The time for action is now, and soon that land will be returned to India," Rajbhar stated.
He welcomed remarks from Nationalist Congress Party MP Supriya Sule, who praised Modi’s inclusive strategy of sending both ruling and opposition leaders abroad to present a united front against terrorism after 'Operation Sindoor'.
"Once again, the Prime Minister has demonstrated that he prioritizes the nation over politics. By including leaders from all parties in diplomatic missions, he conveys a message of national unity. Our objectives are clear: Development, peace, prosperity, and security for all," Rajbhar added.
