Mumbai, March 10 (NationPress) Actor Rajpal Yadav has conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to fans for their unwavering support of his film "Malamaal Weekly" and his iconic role as Bajey, as the comedy masterpiece directed by Priyadarshan celebrates its 20th anniversary since its release on Tuesday.

To mark this significant occasion, Rajpal shared a delightful video montage featuring some of his funniest moments from "Malamaal Weekly" on his official Instagram account.

Expressing his gratitude to the audience for their affection towards both him and the film, Rajpal posted, "Yakeen nahi ho raha ki 20 saal ho gaye! Bajey ko aur film ko itna pyar dene ke liye aap sabka dil se shukriya (sic)."

In addition to Rajpal, the comedy drama boasts performances by Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Riteish Deshmukh, and Asrani, among others, in pivotal roles.

The storyline, inspired by the 1998 film "Waking Ned", follows Lilaram (portrayed by Paresh Rawal), a lottery ticket seller in the struggling village of Laholi. When one of his tickets wins a substantial jackpot, Lilaram devises a scheme to claim the prize for himself, resulting in a series of comedic blunders.
