Bengaluru, May 28 (NationPress) A groundbreaking initiative, held at five universities nationwide, united students from diverse fields, who collectively vowed to champion movements like ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Organized under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) hosted a youth pledge event entitled “Yuva Shakti, Bharat Ki Shakti – One Youth, One Nation, One Resolve” on Wednesday.
Approximately 4,000 students congregated at RUAS to take the National Youth Pledge, motivated by the principles of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, and the vision set forth by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The ceremony was spearheaded by Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina, Vice Chancellor, along with Prof. Govind R. Kadambi, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. R V Ranghanath, Dean Academics, Dr. Sarat Kumar Maharana, Professor & Dean, Dr. Naina Patil, Associate Dean Academics – RTC, with the student body participating in a traditional cultural invocation and an address from the Vice Chancellor.
In his address, Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina remarked: “We stand alongside the youth, pledging our unwavering support to empower the bright minds of our nation, who will guide us towards Atmanirbhar Bharat. We take immense pride in the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for launching this pledge at a national level to harness the power of youth throughout the country. It is a privilege to collaborate with AIU in shaping the youth of our nation as the conscience keepers of Bharat.”
A participating student expressed: “This pledge transcends mere words; it is a commitment to uphold our endeavors into the future.”
Another attendee shared: “As someone living in Bharat, I feel immense pride because despite our linguistic diversity, we have never experienced a language barrier. We are united as Indians.”
A female student remarked: “I believe this is not just a pledge, but a message urging us to take pride in being Indian and committing ourselves to national causes.”
