Sarangpur (Gujarat), March 9 (NationPress) More than 75,000 devotees from across India and various other nations convened in Sarangpur to partake in the vibrant Pushpadolotsav (Festival of Colours) under the leadership of HH Mahant Swami Maharaj. Numerous participants also enjoyed the festivities via a live stream on baps.org.

The late Pramukh Swami Maharaj had a rich tradition of celebrating the Fuldol festival in Sarangpur, a legacy that HH Mahant Swami Maharaj has warmly continued.

To join in this spiritual festivity, around 75,000 devotees of all ages flooded the expansive grounds of the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Sarangpur and the specially laid out festival area at BAPS Vidyamandir.

For this grand event, an impressive assembly pavilion spanning 750,000 square feet was constructed. A stunning main stage, measuring 125 feet in length, 40 feet in width, and 40 feet in height, was built to honor the occasion. The stage backdrop featured beautifully illustrated scenes of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, His spiritual Gunatit Guru Parampara, and vibrant designs embodying the spirit of Rangotsav. Upon entry, all devotees received food packets as prasad.

The festival assembly commenced at 4:45 p.m. with devotional kirtans celebrating Rangotsav, performed by swamis and youth participants. The divine life and teachings of Mahant Swami Maharaj were exquisitely showcased through a series of special presentations.

Pujya Viveksagar Swami, a senior swami of the Sanstha, highlighted the essence of Pushpadolotsav, encouraging everyone to embrace the colours of Bhagwan and the colours of devotion.

Under three thematic banners—“The Satpurush sanctifies,” “The Satpurush connects one with God,” and “The Satpurush grants the supreme spiritual state”—Pujya Atmatrupt Swami, Pujya Bhadresh Swami, and Pujya Anandswarup Swami, alongside senior swamis Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami, Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami, and Pujya Kothari Swami, delivered inspiring discourses. Senior swami Pujya Doctor Swami also made an address suitable for the occasion.

During this auspicious Rangotsav, Mahant Swami Maharaj extended his blessings, emphasizing that ‘We celebrate this sacred occasion with the goal of purifying our inner selves. Everyone should cleanse their inner being and embody the colours of devotion.’

As the celebration reached its peak, Mahant Swami Maharaj performed the sacred pujan of the murtis of Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj and officially inaugurated the Rangotsav. After the arti, he joyfully showered colours upon the senior BAPS swamis, who in turn honored him with artistic floral garlands.

Following this, from water sprayers stationed on the main stage, HH Mahant Swami Maharaj joyfully sprayed fragrant saffron-scented kesuda water, drenching thousands of devotees and swamis in the festive colours of devotion.

Thanks to the divine blessings of Mahant Swami Maharaj and the dedicated efforts of swamis and devotees, the celebration concluded successfully and magnificently. Approximately 5,000 volunteers dedicated themselves across nearly 30 service departments to organize this grand event.
