New Delhi, March 2 (NationPress) The registration process for providing Rs 2,500 monthly financial aid to underprivileged women in the capital, as part of the BJP’s Mahila Samridhi Yojana election commitment, is set to commence on March 8, announced party MP Manoj Tiwari on Sunday.

The newly established BJP government has faced ongoing criticism from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for postponing the launch of this women-oriented initiative, with AAP asserting that the new government lacks the will to deliver on its electoral promises.

While addressing the media, Manoj Tiwari stated that starting March 8 (International Women’s Day), the registration for female beneficiaries will open, allowing them to receive Rs 2,500 directly into their bank accounts shortly thereafter.

The BJP LS MP also criticized the AAP for generating unnecessary controversy around this topic and emphasized that the CAG report's findings have made the previous rulers uneasy.

“You will witness the advantages of the extended Assembly session. We anticipate that the opposition will cooperate in this matter. The CAG report will be shared with the public in a detailed and systematic manner,” he remarked.

The BJP has previously indicated the commencement of the Mahila Samridhi Yojana in the capital on Women’s Day.

March 8 is Women’s Day, and I believe that every day in India should be recognized as Women’s Day,” the Delhi BJP chief remarked during a recent press interaction.

“The newly formed BJP government in Delhi is prepared to serve every segment of society, and as the date of March 8 approaches, clarity will emerge,” he added.

Following the Rekha Gupta-led government’s failure to announce the Mahila Samridhi scheme during its initial cabinet meeting, the AAP directed criticism towards the BJP administration, accusing it of betraying public trust.

Mocking the ‘Modi ki guarantee’, AAP representatives claimed that the BJP had promised to finalize the scheme in the first cabinet meeting but has been hesitating.
