Mumbai, April 8 (NationPress) Actor Riteish Deshmukh was absent from the much-anticipated trailer launch of his sequel 'Raid 2' as he was engrossed in his directorial responsibilities for the historical epic, 'Raja Shivaji'.
Sources indicate, “Due to his directorial obligations and a busy shooting schedule, Riteish was unable to attend the 'Raid 2' trailer launch, although he sincerely wanted to be there.”
Even in his absence, Riteish sent his heartfelt wishes to the entire team behind 'Raid 2' and looked forward to the audience's reaction to the trailer.
The 'Raid 2' preview features Income Tax officer Amay Patnaik (played by Ajay Devgn) confronting his fiercest adversary, Dadabhai (portrayed by Riteish Deshmukh).
While Ajay commands the screen with his renowned intensity, Riteish showcases a promising new persona as a powerful politician.
The film also features Saurabh Shukla reprising his role as Rameshwar Singh from the original movie, with Vaani Kapoor stepping in as Amay Pathak's wife, replacing Illeana D’Cruz.
