Upon questioning, both children revealed that they had departed from their homes for personal reasons. Prioritizing their safety, the minors were taken into protective custody. After fulfilling necessary procedures, they were handed over to the Child Help Line at Malda Town Railway Station for further care, and their families were duly notified, as reported by the RPF.
In a separate operation on the same day at the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counter of Malda Town Railway Station, a suspect was arrested for unlawfully engaging in the business of procuring and supplying railway reservation tickets.
Authorities seized multiple live railway reservation tickets (both counter and e-tickets), passenger details, a blank railway reservation requisition form, a mobile phone containing various personal user IDs utilized for generating e-tickets, and cash totaling Rs 3,700. The cumulative value of the confiscated tickets was Rs 8,394. The arrested individual, along with the seized items, was turned over to the concerned RPF Post for further legal proceedings.
The RPF emphasized that these coordinated efforts highlight the ongoing vigilance and unwavering commitment of the Malda Division's RPF to ensure child safety, thwart illegal activities, and maintain a secure railway environment for all passengers.
Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Malda, Manish Kumar Gupta, continuous monitoring and regular inspections are carried out daily throughout the railway division to combat crime and ensure passenger safety.
