Bhopal, Aug 10 (NationPress) In a remarkable step towards enhancing inter-community unity, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is preparing to organize a pivotal social harmony conclave in Indore on September 12, as part of its centenary outreach initiative.
This event, taking place at the Brilliant Convention Centre, aims to bring together more than 180 leaders from various castes and communities across the Malwa region, highlighting the Sangh's dedication to inclusive communication and cultural integration.
The conclave will be led by RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat, whose recent frequent visits to Indore indicate the city’s increasing significance in the Sangh's strategic planning. He was present in the city just this past Sunday.
The focus of the conclave will revolve around the RSS's “Panch Parivartan” framework—five transformative principles that include indigenous living, familial enlightenment, environmental care, civic discipline, and social harmony.
During a preparatory meeting with approximately 300 community leaders, Dr Bhagwat reportedly expressed the lasting importance of social unity, emphasizing that it is a bond grounded in mutual belonging.
He highlighted that both the individual and the family serve as powerful units of societal strength, asserting that a collective moral foundation based on dharma is essential.
Expressing apprehension regarding the decline of India’s familial values, Bhagwat cautioned against the influence of Western consumerist ideologies, which he believes have already undermined traditional structures in Europe.
He suggested that a global network of influential organizations and families might be trying to weaken India’s social fabric in their quest for market control.
In referencing the legacies of Swami Vivekananda and Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Dr Bhagwat seemed to highlight the spiritual necessity of overcoming caste barriers for national revival.
He also mentioned the feminine perspective within Indian society as providing a more comprehensive understanding of familial and community life.
According to sources, the conclave will showcase various public welfare initiatives by the participating communities. The RSS’s centenary campaign anticipates conducting over one lakh outreach events and 12,000 harmony meetings nationwide, aimed at fostering unity through shared goals and ongoing dialogue.
