Hyderabad, Nov 16 (NationPress) A tragic incident unfolded in Telangana’s Jangaon district on Sunday, where two individuals lost their lives and six others sustained injuries after an RTC bus collided with a stationary truck. The mishap took place on the Hyderabad-Warangal highway near Nidigonda in Raghunathpalli mandal.
Authorities reported that a Rajdhani bus, operated by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), crashed into the rear of a parked sand-laden truck. The force of the impact severely damaged the front section of the bus.
Sadly, two passengers died at the scene, while six others were hurt. The victims were identified as Navjit Singh, from Balasumdra in Hanumakonda, and P. Om Prakash from Domalguda in Hyderabad.
The injured individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Preliminary investigations suggest that the bus driver may have failed to notice the truck parked by the roadside.
In response to the incident, police have registered a case and commenced an investigation.
