Hyderabad, Nov 16 (NationPress) A tragic incident unfolded in Telangana’s Jangaon district on Sunday, where two individuals lost their lives and six others sustained injuries after an RTC bus collided with a stationary truck. The mishap took place on the Hyderabad-Warangal highway near Nidigonda in Raghunathpalli mandal.

Authorities reported that a Rajdhani bus, operated by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), crashed into the rear of a parked sand-laden truck. The force of the impact severely damaged the front section of the bus.

Sadly, two passengers died at the scene, while six others were hurt. The victims were identified as Navjit Singh, from Balasumdra in Hanumakonda, and P. Om Prakash from Domalguda in Hyderabad.

The injured individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Preliminary investigations suggest that the bus driver may have failed to notice the truck parked by the roadside.

In response to the incident, police have registered a case and commenced an investigation.

In recent weeks, the Telugu states have witnessed a series of alarming road accidents involving buses. For instance, on November 3, a head-on collision between an RTC bus and a tipper truck in Rangareddy district resulted in 19 fatalities. The speeding truck, laden with construction materials, crashed into the bus traveling from Tandur to Hyderabad, burying several passengers beneath gravel.

Moreover, on October 24, a private bus caught fire after running over a motorbike following an accident near Kurnool town in Andhra Pradesh, leading to the deaths of 19 individuals. The private bus, belonging to Vemuri Kaveri Travels, was engulfed in flames triggered by a spark and fuel leakage from the motorcycle.

In addition, on the same day as the Jangaon incident, a private travels bus overturned in Eluru district, resulting in one death and ten injuries while navigating a turn. Another accident occurred on November 4 in Sri Sathya Sai district, where a private travel bus collided with a truck, causing one death and eight injuries.

Also, on November 11, a private travel bus going from Hyderabad to Kandukur caught fire on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway. Fortunately, the driver noticed smoke rising from the engine and managed to stop the bus, allowing all 29 passengers to escape before the vehicle was completely consumed by flames.
