To refresh your memory, Salman's father, the acclaimed screenwriter Salim Khan, had collaborated with Manoj Kumar on the 1981 historical drama, 'Kranti'.

Interestingly, Manoj Kumar had expressed a desire to claim the writing credit for 'Kranti'.

During the trailer launch of the documentary featuring the renowned writing duo Salim-Javed, titled 'Angry Young Men', Salman disclosed that Manoj Kumar sought to remove the writing credit from Salim-Javed, stating, "So, I just want an interview with Mr. Manoj Kumar. He is taking away the credit from Salim-Javed and saying he has written it."

Farhan Akhtar, son of Javed Akhtar, interjected, saying, "Did he? Then we will have a separate documentary for Manoj Ji."

Javed further commented, "I think it's very honest of him that he has made this confession."

Salman added humorously, "It's a fact. He says that I used to write and read it to them. But he did write it."

Directed by Manoj Kumar, 'Kranti' featured Dilip Kumar in the lead role, alongside a stellar cast including Manoj Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Hema Malini, and Parveen Babi.

The legendary actor and filmmaker, known as 'Bharat Kumar' for his patriotic roles, passed away on Friday at the age of 87 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. He had been hospitalized since February 21 due to health issues.

Numerous Bollywood celebrities, including Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Sunny Deol, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Farah Khan, Farhan Akhtar, and many others took to social media to honor the legendary star.
