He mentioned, without directly naming Dharmendra, that “this week the industry experienced a tremendous loss.”
Expressing his emotions further, Salman stated, “I wish I weren’t hosting Bigg Boss this week, but ultimately, life goes on.”
For those unaware, Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at the age of 89.
Salman was among the first film personalities to arrive at both the cremation on the 24th and the memorial gathering organized by the Deol family on November 27.
The bond between Salman Khan and Dharmendra was exceptionally close, having co-starred in the film 'Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya', which also featured Kajol and Arbaaz Khan.
The connection between Dharmendra and the Khan family spans over five decades, dating back to when Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, co-wrote the classic 'Sholay' alongside Javed Akhtar.
In 'Sholay', Dharmendra portrayed the character of Veeru, which is still regarded as one of the most memorable roles in Bollywood.
