Mumbai, Oct 29 (NationPress) Hollywood actress-director Scarlett Johansson has shared an amusing anecdote about her 11-year-old daughter, Rose, who expressed a desire for a "Marie Antoinette gown".
The 40-year-old actress, who shares Rose with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac, recounted during her appearance on the Busy This Week podcast: "My daughter ... asked for a Marie Antoinette gown."
"A talented dressmaker, known for crafting costumes for various operas in Ukraine, created a stunning full opera-style dress reminiscent of Marie Antoinette complete with a hoop skirt and corset for my daughter," she added.
Johansson described the outfit as "outrageous", noting that it can be adjusted as Rose grows, and she still enjoys wearing it, looking adorable each time.
Interestingly, the dress was worn by Rose for a significant event, as reported by femalefirst.co.uk.
The actress, who tied the knot with comedy star Colin Jost in 2020, explained: "She wore it to my wedding, which was truly spectacular. At one point, she asked to change, and during the wedding, I had to announce, 'We'll be right back. Costume change for Rose.'"
On another note, Johansson expressed that motherhood has not disrupted her work commitments.
She told OK! magazine, "My job allows me to balance parenting and acting. I can go from being a parent to filming a scene and back again. Though, it might influence my career choices in the future, I appreciate the flexibility it offers me."
Determined to be a positive role model for her daughter, she stated, "I'm unsure of the current impact, but I want her to learn the importance of hard work, pursuing dreams, and achieving goals."
