He remarked that postal workers are not just letter carriers but are integral to nation-building and symbolize the trust of rural India. “When the Postman Moves, India Moves,” he stated, regarding postal workers as a vital connection between technology and society.
Additionally, Scindia highlighted the importance of the Indian Postal Service, noting that with over 1.6 lakh postal offices and the unwavering faith of countless citizens, it holds a distinctive identity on the global stage. “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian Postal Department is experiencing a swift transformation,” he added.
While honoring exemplary postal employees during the conference, Scindia acknowledged the indispensable contributions of these 'Karmayogis' working in remote areas, which he considers the true asset of Indian Post.
The Minister expressed optimism that, fueled by a spirit of service and innovation, the Indian Postal Department will significantly contribute to achieving the vision of 'Developed India 2047' and position the country as the world's largest logistics powerhouse.
On the same occasion, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav shared that the state government has introduced new initiatives aimed at enhancing the accessibility of postal services for the general public. He cited the recent launch of a service delivering prasad from Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga and Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga to homes via postal channels.
