Greater Noida, March 21 (NationPress) With the impending inauguration of the Noida International Airport, security and traffic management measures in Gautam Buddh Nagar have been significantly bolstered. Five additional temporary police outposts have been established in the area, as reported by officials on Saturday.
This initiative, guided by Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, aims to improve both internal and external security around the airport zone, which is deemed highly sensitive. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to visit Noida on Sunday to evaluate the preparations for the airport's inauguration.
The newly formed outposts are positioned at Milestone 32 km, the Cargo Terminal, the Domestic Terminal, Milestone 27 km, and Milestone 15 km. Their purpose is to enhance surveillance and enable a quicker response to any security incidents occurring within and around the airport vicinity.
To maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure rapid emergency responses, seven additional PCR/PRV vehicles have been dispatched to critical locations. One PCR vehicle will patrol the Yamuna Expressway between the Jewar Toll Plaza and Falaida Cut, while another will monitor the main access road to the airport.
Two PRV vehicles will conduct routine patrols in adjacent rural areas, with the remaining three operating within the jurisdiction of the Domestic Terminal police station.
Officials confirmed that all vehicles are equipped with advanced security systems to facilitate prompt action during emergencies. Continuous patrolling is anticipated to enhance safety for both commuters and local residents while ensuring effective traffic management in the area.
During his visit, CM Yogi Adityanath will review the ongoing work related to the airport project and will request comprehensive briefings from officials.
Officials are set to inform him about the layout plan for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally, preparations at the public meeting site, and strategies concerning crowd management.
PM Modi is slated to inaugurate this airport on March 28, and preparations are currently in full swing.
CM Yogi Adityanath's visit to Noida holds significant importance not only for the preparations but also as a vital step towards ensuring a successful inauguration ceremony on March 28.
