Srinagar, March 3 (NationPress) The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, presided over a critical security review meeting at the Police Control Room (PCR) located in Srinagar on Tuesday.
According to officials, the meeting involved senior police and civil administration figures gathering to assess the current law and order situation in the region.
The Lt Governor emphasized the importance of maintaining a state of heightened alert and urged the officers to implement all necessary actions to ensure public peace and stability.
He also called upon citizens and community leaders to foster harmony and help create an atmosphere of calmness and goodwill within society.
"Maintaining peace and supporting societal progress is a collective duty that falls upon all of us," he remarked.
During the meeting, he reiterated, "I chaired a gathering of senior police and civil administration officials at the Police Control Room, Kashmir, to evaluate the law and order scenario. I instructed the officers to stay vigilant and take every necessary step to ensure public peace and stability."
The L-G also appealed to the community to promote harmony and contribute positively to society.

In attendance were notable officials including Nalin Prabhat, DGP Jammu and Kashmir; S.J.M Gillani, Special DG (Coordination); Anand Jain, ADGP Armed; Nitish Kumar, ADGP CID; V.K Birdi, IGP Kashmir; Anshul Garg, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; Rajiv Pandey, DIG, CKR; Akshay Labroo, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, along with other senior officials.
Earlier on Monday, the L-G also held a security meeting at Lok Bhawan in Srinagar. Authorities announced that, with the exception of Srinagar and Budgam districts, educational institutions will resume operations in all other districts of the Valley on Wednesday.
Kashmir University has postponed all exams scheduled for today, indicating that new dates will be communicated shortly.
Currently, internet services are limited to 2G speed to prevent any anti-social elements from disseminating provocative material on social media platforms.
No significant incidents were reported across the Valley today, apart from a brief clash between protesters and security forces in the Pattan area of Baramulla district.
