Srinagar, May 7 (NationPress) The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, participated in a high-level security meeting conducted via virtual platform under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday.

Joining him were key officials including Atal Dulloo, Chief Secretary; Nalin Prabhat, DGP of Jammu and Kashmir; Mahesh Dixit, Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB); Chandraker Bharti, Principal Secretary of the Home Department; and Pankaj Thakur, Joint Director of the IB, all convened at the Raj Bhavan in Srinagar.

During the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor assured that the directives from the Union Home Minister would be executed with utmost diligence.

Following the discussion, he instructed officials to implement necessary measures according to the guidelines provided by the Union Home Minister, aiming to neutralize any potential threats promptly.

He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his decisive leadership and emphasized a strict zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.

This meeting took place shortly after the Armed Forces executed Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the origin of several directed attacks against India.

The Lieutenant Governor is actively monitoring the situation within the Union Territory, conducting regular assessments of the security landscape, and leading actions in border regions and other critical areas.

L-G Sinha also praised India's tri-services for their precise missile strikes on nine terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He described ‘Operation Sindoor’ as a remarkable demonstration of the resolve of our valiant armed forces, avenging the Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in the tragic loss of 26 lives at the hands of Pakistani terrorists.

“With ‘Operation Sindoor’, India has signaled that no matter where terrorists seek refuge, our courageous armed forces will locate them and ensure they face justice for their atrocious acts. The training camps of groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, which have caused immense suffering in India over decades, have been effectively dismantled through our Armed Forces’ focused actions,” the Lieutenant Governor stated.

Earlier that morning, L-G Sinha reviewed the situation in the border districts of Jammu and Kashmir with senior administrative, police, and district officials, including Deputy Commissioners from all border areas.

He reiterated that the government is thoroughly prepared for any eventuality.

“We will safeguard every citizen,” the Lieutenant Governor asserted.

He also directed the Deputy Commissioners to relocate villagers from at-risk areas to safer locations and ensure their needs for accommodation, food, medical care, and transportation are met.

He remains in constant communication with ground officers.

“The entire administration, Police, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) are collaborating effectively. We are vigilant, equipped, and fully prepared to respond to any situation,” concluded the Lieutenant Governor.
