Mumbai, Sep 13 (NationPress) Playback artist Shaan is gearing up to mesmerize the audience with a unique concert honoring the iconic singer Kishore Kumar. As the event approaches, the singer has disclosed his setlist to IANS. Shaan holds a deep admiration for the legendary artist and shares a cultural connection with him.
During an interview at his office, Shaan elaborated on the creative flow of the show.
He stated to IANS, “This is an extensive setlist, featuring over 70 songs prepared for the performance. Some tracks only include the choruses, while others are mashups. The intention is to convey, through his music, a journey and an emotion that resonates with each individual in the audience. There will also be interactive elements included. I’m confident that everyone attending is a fan of Kishore da. I've listened to all of his songs. Even if I hum a few notes, they should recognize it. We’ll even have a competition where if I hum a tune, the audience has to guess the song.”
He further added, “There will be engaging games as well. A segment will highlight the ongoing relevance of Kishore da’s songs today. This is the essence of our playlist. The final segment, titled ‘Dhamaal’, will last for the last 30 minutes and will be filled with his dance tracks. Songs he performed for himself, such as ‘Mere Mehboob’ and ‘Jhumroo’, complete with yodeling, will be featured. It’s an incredibly captivating setlist.”
Presented by Namrata Gupta Khan and Rabbani Mustafa Khan of NR Talent and Event Management, 'Forever Kishore Shaan Se' is scheduled for September 19 at NMACC, Mumbai. Namrata and Rabbani are part of Shaan's mentor, Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan's family.
