New Delhi, Nov 24 (NationPress) BJP National Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain expressed his support for Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s recent comments which suggested that “Sindh may return to India,” emphasizing that without Sindh, “there is no Hind.”
The Defence Minister had previously mentioned that the people of Sindh would always be considered part of India, a statement that triggered strong responses from various political factions.
In an interview with IANS, Hussain remarked, “What’s the identity of Hind without Sindh? Our national anthem is incomplete without Sindh. Rajnath Singh has articulated something profoundly beautiful. His statement has resonated positively with people across the nation. We believe that one day, Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir will also return to us, and Sindh cannot remain detached from us for too long.”
He further pointed out that the lack of progress in Sindh leads to discontent among its inhabitants.
“There is no development in Sindh. They look to Mumbai and feel a sense of despair. So, without Sindh, there is no Hind. This dream will manifest one day,” he asserted.
Regarding the RJD's critique of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s appointment as the state’s Home Minister, Hussain deemed the criticism unwarranted.
“RJD should introspect. Samrat Choudhary is an outstanding minister. As Finance Minister, he has managed the state’s finances exceptionally. RJD leaders are fearful, which is why they are making such remarks,” he stated.
Hussain also addressed the controversial comments made by Jharkhand Minister Irfan Ansari regarding Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in relation to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
“A case should be initiated against Jharkhand Minister Irfan Ansari, and appropriate actions should be taken. His remarks about BLOs are highly irresponsible,” he remarked.
A political controversy emerged in Jharkhand after Ansari publicly criticized BLOs and expressed his intention to impede the SIR process, prompting a response from the Election Commission. During a public gathering, Ansari accused BLOs of obstructing administrative functions, including the electoral revision process.
He allegedly instructed locals that if any BLO visited their home for SIR-related tasks, they should not hesitate to “tie them up.”
“Everyone should protest against SIR. If the BLO comes to your residence, confine them. The BLO is attempting to remove names from the voter list. Lock them in until I arrive,” he allegedly stated.
