New Delhi, Oct 2 (NationPress) As the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) celebrates its centennial milestone, numerous BJP leaders have conveyed their well-wishes and highlighted the organization’s significant role in the nation’s growth.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah remarked on the historic journey of the Sangh. He shared on X, stating in Hindi (loosely translated), “From the highest leaders of the country to dedicated grassroots workers, the century-long journey of the Sangh has shaped many personalities whose main objective has been nation-building.”
HM Shah provided several examples showcasing this. “From the liberation of Hyderabad, resisting the Emergency, the Goa liberation struggle, to supporting brave soldiers in wars, opposing Article 370, and the anti-infiltrator movement in the Northeast, Sangh volunteers have elevated the tasks of nation-building through their sacrifice and dedication.”
He noted that RSS workers have always stepped up when needed. “Whether in deserts, dense forests, the challenging Himalayan peaks, or remote villages, the Sangh has consistently raised the flag of devotion and service to the 'great sacred land'.
The Union Minister emphasized that by uniting forest dwellers, Backward Classes, Dalits, and various segments of society, the centennial journey of the Sangh, which tirelessly contributes to a vision of a nation filled with self-respect, will be etched in history.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh penned an article celebrating the RSS' contributions to nation-building and offered his sincere congratulations to all its volunteers.
Sharing the article on his X handle, he stated, “The 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh represent not just the journey of an organization but an inspiring saga of nation-building.”
He added in Hindi (loosely translated) that throughout this century, the RSS has worked to fortify the nation by instilling values like character, discipline, unity, and service within society.
The Defence Minister remarked that whether faced with natural disasters, social crises, or calls for nation-building, the Sangh's volunteers have always been at the forefront, showcasing the strength of service, dedication, and organization.
They have made cultural pride, social harmony, and devotion to the motherland their life’s mission. “As a volunteer of the Sangh, I consider it a privilege to have witnessed its tradition of service and sacrifice firsthand,” Singh expressed on X.
He asserted that as the Sangh enters its centenary year, it signifies not just a reflection on the past but a commitment to constructing a robust and self-reliant India.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also authored an article regarding the RSS' centenary celebrations, which he shared on his X handle. He remarked that the 100 years of the RSS exemplify discipline, service, and nation-building. “A century of the Sangh is a testament to its disciplined growth, relentless service, and the cultivation of citizens devoted to the nation,” the CM noted.
The RSS commenced its centenary celebrations on Vijayadashami in Nagpur, marking 100 years since its establishment by Dr. K.B. Hedgewar in 1925.
